Brigitte Ouellet , notre Présidente, détient un DEC en art du Collège Marie-Victorin, un BAC en études anciennes avec spécialisation en anthropologie, une maîtrise en histoire du Proche-Orient ancien et est Ph.D. en Histoire des Religions à la faculté de Théologie de l'Université de Montréal. Son vif intérêt pour l'Égypte ancienne a orienté ses recherches sur l'interprétation des textes de sagesse du Moyen-Empire égyptien. Chargée de cours tant à l'Université de Montréal qu'à l'Université McGill, elle collabore régulièrement à des revues spécialisées et est membre de nombreuses associations d'Égyptologie. Passionnée par ses études, elle revient d'un stage de perfectionnement en langue égyptienne à l'Université Saint- Mary's de Halifax et entreprendra bientôt un quinzième séjour en Égypte. Brigitte Ouellet, our President, obtained a DEC in art from the College Marie-Victorin, a Master of Ancient Near-East History degree and is a Ph.D. in the History of Religions at the University of Montreal. Her passionate interest concerning ancient Egypt directed her studies toward the translation of the texts of the wisdom of Middle-Empire Egypt. Responsible for courses at the University of Montreal and McGill University, she contributes regularly to specialized periodicals in her field and is a member of numerous Egyptology associations. Driven by her studies, she has attained proficiency in Egyptian language at St. Mary's University (Halifax) and will soon undertake her fifteenth tour of Egypt. Dr. Robert Chadwick , notre Vice-Président, est depuis plusieurs années membre du comité de patronage de la Society for The Study of Egyptian Antiquities de Toronto. Professeur d'histoire du Proche-Orient ancien à la Faculté des Études religieuses de l'Université McGill et au College John-Abbott de Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue depuis 1973. Il détient un doctorat en histoire de l'Université de Montréal. Spécialiste du Proche-Orient ancien et passionné d'Égyptologie, il poursuit chaque année des fouilles archéologiques en Jordanie et il est l'auteur du livre First Civilizations : Ancient Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. Il participe à plusieurs associations scientifiques canadiennes et américaines en tant que conférencier invité et il collabore à la revue américaine d'égyptologie KMT.

Dr. Robert Chadwick , our Vice-President, has been for many years a member of the Supporting Committee of the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities in Toronto. Professor of History of the Ancient Near-East at College John-Abbott in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue since 1973 and also Professor at the Religious Faculty of McGill University. He obtained a Doctorate in History at the University of Montreal. Specializing in the Ancient Near-East and passionate about Egyptology, he has continued annual archaeological digs in Jordan and has authored First Civilizations: Ancient Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. He is involved with many scientific associations, Canadian and American, as well as being invitee to conferences and contributing to the American periodical in Egyptology KMT.
